Sharepoint 2010: Remove 'All Site Content' and ‘Recycle Bin’ link

You can remove 'All Site Content' and ‘Recycle Bin’ link from sharepoint site by doing some change in master pages. Follow the following steps to remove both links from every pages.
  1. Open ‘v4.master’ file from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\GLOBAL (If you have only MOSS then in \12\TEMPLATE\GLOBAL ) or If you are using your custom master page then edit your custom master page.
  2. Find </head> , above </head> add following code



Save the changes in file. Now it will affect on every

  1. Also if you would like to only make the recylce bin invisible:
    vs.master under ul tag class="s4-specialNavLinkList" node's grandchild node Sharepoint add visible = "False"

  4. could you plz help me how to create a leave letter workflow for an organization.
    when employee login to the site he submits leave letter to his TL , after his approval it should goes to MD after his approval it should go to HR of that organization & if any one of them rejects it should be informed to the particular emp

    I did the same for removing site content from sharepoint 2010. but i was still showing me site contents..
    and error in v4 master page "Element Style is missing attribute type".

  8. Many thanks this has been extremely useful. It has removed exactly what I wanted however, I am left with a a little bit of grey shading under my navagation pane? Any ideas?
